Around Ithaca
Ithaca, the fifth largest of the Ionian Islands lies south of Lefkada and to the east of Kefalonia.
The island is 29km long, 6.5km wide and with a total area of 92.7 sq kms.
Ithaca consists of two peninsulas joined by the isthmus at a width of only 620m, the coastline measures 72kms.
Vathy
The capital Vathy in the south is a small picturesque town built like an ampitheatre around one of the most natural ports in Greece. Small hotels, apartments and villas sit comfortably amongst the pastel coloured traditional houses, life centres around the square and waterfront areas where tourists and locals alike sit in the coffee shops and tavernas.
Here you will find a wide variety of accommodations, shops, tavernas and bars.
