Beaches
The beaches and coves of Ithaca are all pebbly, washed by the tranquil, turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea.
Many more are only accessible by boat and all are ideal for snorkeling.
South Ithaca
Dexa – A wide bay with a narrow pebble and shingle beach backed by olive trees. Awarded the Blue Flag.
Loutsa – In Vathy bay, a small shingle beach, popular with locals. Awarded the Blue Flag.
Minimata – A small attractive sheltered pebble and shingle beach.
